Hi There, I’m Jessica.
I’m a Bay Area-based journalist with a passion for covering the intersection of food, farming, and climate. I’m currently the managing editor of The San Francisco Examiner, the city’s last free newspaper, where I work to keep local news alive through accessible and engaging storytelling. Prior to editing, I was the environmental reporter for The Examiner. I also occasionally write about food, wine, politics, public health, business, and real estate. I’m most interested in telling stories about people working hard to solve our most pressing environmental challenges, but I’m always up for chasing a good story on any topic.
My work has appeared in The San Francisco Examiner, The Washington Post, Edible DC, the Berkeleyside, and the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
